Women Heating Up the 518

Over the last few years in rap, we’ve seen a strong rise of female talent, especially within the city of Albany. These women add a perspective that was previously neglected in a male dominated genre. The Albany music scene is one of the most intriguing scenes in all of music, with countless hits and bangers continuously coming out of the area. Here are some crazy fire songs from three dope female artists in Albany:

T4k3 4 br34k - v3x (Prod: Iguodalla)

V3X arguably has the best pure vocals coming out of the Capital Region. As soon as her vocals drop, you are mesmerized by the combination of her voice and Igudollas use of bright sounding chimes. Even after one listen you have the chorus "tell me what you want, tell me what you need" on repeat in your head. The only word you can use to describe her vocal presence on this track is captivating. Hit the links below to check out the track and more by v3x:

GIMMIE GIMMIE – Ke $upreme

Everything about "Gimmie Gimmie" is a complete vibe for the summer. Once you start feeling the wood block dominated beat, you can't help but start moving and dancing around. Ke starts with a more honeyed flow, but ends the last minute of the track changing her flow to a faster pace where you can really feel/hear what she's saying. Where Ke's lyrical content is about finding love and how she values experiences over materialism. This song is a perfect banger to let rock at the club, party, and beach.

B.B.O – Livi Drippy

B.B.O has been heating up the summer like crazy as it currently sits at over 100k streams on SoundCloud. Everyone has this track on repeat.  On B.B.O, Livi Drippy brings a very rap heavy approach. She floats over the entire beat with lyrical content surrounding making it out of the city, portraying her immense confidence in the rap game, and even some personal life struggles she's had to deal with. Livi is going to continuously apply pressure in the Albany rap scene, B.B.O is only a taste of the bars she has to bring.
